Domain Use

What's In A Name?

So you want to build a website - maybe a blog.  But not just one in a big conglomerate; you want your own domain, your own dot-com (or dot-net, etc.) address people can use to find your company's website.  Maybe you're building an online store with your own Name Brand.  Maybe you're launching a new business, or perhaps you're established locally, but want to branch out and draw in customers from other parts of the world.  That's the beauty of the Internet: your potential customer base numbers in the billions.

So how important is a domain name?  Imagine eBay with another name.  Impossible to do, isn't it?  Your name is your brand, and moreso when your online name and address are one and the same.

These days it can be challenging to register the perfect domain name.  There are literally millions of domains already registered.  There are now domain brokers who have made it their business to buy and sell domains for premium pricing.  A good, short, simple-to-spell domain is ideal.  Sometimes the only way to find the "perfect" option is to get mighty creative.

The dot-com is still the granddaddy of them all (for now); so how do you find a domain that people can remember but that nobody else has?  Sometimes you have to think outside of the box.  Did you know that if you're stuck, you can call our help line and we'll even help you think up good domain names?  It's all part of the service!
